Dr. Wayne admits, “I am a Chiro Kid.” My father was a Chiropractor and I have experienced Chiropractic since I was four years old. I have had the privilege of watching my profession improve and grow to what it is today. It is difficult to describe how satisfying it is to want to be a Chiropractor since I was a young boy, and have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of health since I was 9 years old.
The majority of my life has been spent preparing for what I am doing everyday.
I cannot imagine doing anything else. I tell my patients regularly what a great profession I am in because I am able to assist in restoring quality of life and wellness without having to deal with the side effects of drugs or death as other health care providers must do. I get to help return patients to doing what they want to do and sometimes change their lives by helping them change their view of what being healthy for a lifetime really means.
My primary goal is to meet my patient’s goals and not just my recommendations. Some patients need help recovering from an accident or work related injury and are not as interested in wellness. Others want more extensive recommendations/care than pain management. I pride myself on being able to accommodate to both ideologies without applying pressure or judgment to the patient. Simply put, my job is to educate and treat the patient while meeting the patient’s needs.
Dr. Wayne Rudnick is the son of Dr. Leonard Rudnick and the Rudnick name has been proudly serving Tucson since 1980. Tucson Chiropractic Center has been in existence since 1987 and Dr. Wayne has been practicing since 1996. He worked with a chiropractic consultant group in his teenage and college years and has watched the profession and health care change dramatically prior to attending his post graduate studies at Palmer West Chiropractic College in San Jose, California.
Chiropractic Education
He is a 1995 Palmer West graduate and he is licensed in California as well as Arizona. He received the clinical excellence award for his graduating class, which is voted on by the clinicians at the Palmer West Campus. He also has well over 100 hours of post-chiropractic graduate education in radiographic interpretation.
Dr. Wayne has been practicing the last 14 years and has surpassed the board requirements for post-graduate education. Some of the additional course work includes pediatrics, sports injuries, extremity manipulation, treatment protocols for disc injury, and the integration of rehabilitative exercise in conjunction with Chiropractic manipulation to name a few.
He has also had the privilege of being the team Chiropractor for the University of Arizona IceCats the last 14 years, and working with the Sports Medicine Fellowship doctors for the University of Arizona the last 5 years. He has also spent many years developing relationships with various health care providers throughout the Tucson area. He co-manages’ care with specialists such as neurosurgeons and pain management specialists to primary care physicians, physical therapists, or massage therapists almost daily.
On a personal note...
Dr. Wayne has been married to his high school (Marana High School) sweetheart, Julia for over 21 years and they have two children. Amber is 13 and their son Payton is 11. If you visit the office you might meet his wife Julia who has always been a part of the office since his first day in practice, and you are guaranteed to see numerous pictures of their family at various ages.
